To empower veterans through the transformative experience of scuba diving — fostering healing, camaraderie, and renewed purpose beneath the surface." These veterans will lead the operation that will execute conservation efforts.
Operation Blue Ascent provides veterans with an opportunity to explore the ocean as a pathway to recovery — blending adventure, therapy, and connection. This program helps veterans manage stress, PTSD, and physical injuries while reigniting the sense of teamwork and mission that defined their service. Veterans will be trained in open water, advanced open water, and rescue diver certifications to participate in worldwide conservation missions such as coral restoration.

In Every Reef, a Renewal of Hope
Beneath the surface of the sea lies a living cathedral—
a world of color and light where coral reefs breathe life into the ocean.
Though they cover less than a heartbeat of the sea’s vast floor, they cradle a quarter of all marine life,
sheltering creatures great and small in their fragile embrace. When the corals fade, the ocean grows silent. Storms strike harder, coasts crumble, and the balance of life begins to drift away.
But when we nurture them back to life, the sea begins to heal—and so do we.
For the veteran who once served on land,
the reef becomes a new mission: to protect, to restore, to belong again.
Each fragment replanted, each reef reborn, is a testament to resilience—of the ocean,
and of the human spirit. To save the coral is to save the pulse of the planet—
and to remind ourselves that healing the Earth is another way of healing the soul.
